The room was cramped and overall it looks a little run down. Each time I took the elevator I thought it might break down, but climbing the stairs to the third floor included going through 4 doors. Free breakfast was included, but it tasted very processed. However, the bed was comfortable, the staff were nice and there were plenty of TV choices which are the things that really matter to me.

Let's just say that calling this place a boutique hotel is generous. Elsewhere in the country a similar hotel would be branded as something better than a Ramada but worse than a Holiday Inn Express, but hey, this is the Bay Area, so it's $250 a night. At least the location is reasonably convenient. The hotel has decent beds and fairly new carpeting, but everything else about the rooms and the space is deeply mediocre. Paint is scuffed, rooms don't have a mini fridge, the bed is on the small side, and the TV is quite small. Wifi works pretty well, though. Breakfast is very marginally better than what you might get at a Days Inn. But at least the boutique hotel designation means their provided toiletries are rather nice.
