The rooms feel very ...

The rooms feel very dated and of the lowest quality construction materials. So even though everything seemed well kept and clean, it didn't feel clean.

This is pretty much ...

This is pretty much a motel with a fresh coat of paint. Mountain View hotels are all overpriced, but I felt like little effort was made to justify the cost: graffiti etchings in the elevator, tattered "reuse your towel" door hangers, and an excessively loud refrigerators were all signs that profit, rather than comfort, is the primary motivator. To be fair, the bed was comfy enough and I slept well, hence the three stars.
