NASA Ames Research & Visitor Center:
Space and Science Exploration

Located in the heart of California's Silicon Valley, Ames Research Center is one of ten NASA field centers. Most notably involved with entry, descent and landing technologies, astrobiology and airborne science, Ames plays a vital role in all of NASA's missions and aeronautics programs. Ames has provided NASA with some of the most critical advancements in aviation to date. Take a tour of the visitor's center and check out cool exhibits like REAL Moon Rock and The Kepler Mission for a peek inside our galaxy. Enjoy flight simulations through the Milky Way Galaxy in the Immersive Theater, see a real moon rock and experience what it's like to live and work in space.

    While there are no public tours to the NASA Ames Research Center itself, there are guided tours available of the Moffett Museum and the Ames Exploration Center. If you're interested in rocket ships, space exploration, and science, take a tour of the facilities and visit exhibits like the Kepler Mission to survey the Milky Way or the Science on a Sphere exhibit for a peek inside our galaxy.
